Friday night we spent several hours at LEGO® KidsFest in Portland, OR. What a blast! Over 3 acres of brick building and play to entertain all ages of kids (and adults).
My son went straight to the Master Builder Academy, where he spent 45 minutes in a class to learn better building techniques. My son loves LEGO, so much in fact, that he wrote to the company two years ago to find out what he needed to study in order to work for LEGO.
My daughters were smitten with the LEGO Friends station, where they spent quite some time building with Emma and her other Friends.
They also all loved the giant LEGO creations. The kids could pose with a number of popular characters including Batman, The Hulk, Harry Potter, Hermoine, Jack Sparrow, Darth Vadar, Lightening McQueen, and many more. I must have taken 50 photos of the kids posing.
Other stations included the City area where you could build a little fire truck to take home, and the CHIMA arena, where you got to race the new Speedorz and bring one home home just for playing in the arena.
We’re looking forward to the next time LEGO® KidsFest comes to town!
